Τα τελευταία χρόνια, το Wi-Fi Calling έχει γίνει ένα από τα πιο χρήσιμα χαρακτηριστικά για όσους βρίσκονται σε περιοχές με αδύναμο σήμα κινητής. Η δυνατότητα να πραγματοποιείς και να δέχεσαι κλήσεις μέσω Wi-Fi λύνει πραγματικά τα χέρια, ειδικά σε απομακρυσμένες περιοχές.

Όμως, όταν μπαίνει στην εξίσωση το Starlink, τα πράγματα δεν είναι πάντα τόσο απλά.

Το πρόβλημα

Πολλοί χρήστες στην Ελλάδα έχουν παρατηρήσει ότι το Wi-Fi Calling της Vodafone δεν λειτουργεί όταν είναι συνδεδεμένοι μέσω Starlink. Παρόλο που η σύνδεση στο internet είναι κανονικά ενεργή και γρήγορη, η υπηρεσία αποτυγχάνει να ενεργοποιηθεί.

Αυτό δημιουργεί εύλογα ερωτήματα:

Γιατί δεν δουλεύει και ποιος φταίει;

Πιθανοί λόγοι

1. Δίκτυο μέσω δορυφόρου

Το Starlink δεν είναι μια κλασική σύνδεση internet. Χρησιμοποιεί δορυφόρους χαμηλής τροχιάς, κάτι που αλλάζει τον τρόπο που δρομολογείται η κίνηση δεδομένων. Ορισμένες υπηρεσίες, όπως το Wi-Fi Calling, απαιτούν πολύ συγκεκριμένες συνθήκες δικτύου για να λειτουργήσουν σωστά.

2. CGNAT και IP διευθύνσεις

Το Starlink χρησιμοποιεί συχνά Carrier-Grade NAT. Αυτό σημαίνει ότι πολλοί χρήστες μοιράζονται την ίδια δημόσια IP.

Το Wi-Fi Calling βασίζεται σε ασφαλείς συνδέσεις προς servers της Vodafone και αυτή η αρχιτεκτονική μπορεί να μπλοκάρει ή να δυσκολεύει τη σύνδεση.

3. Ports και πρωτόκολλα

Οι πάροχοι κινητής απαιτούν συγκεκριμένες θύρες και πρωτόκολλα, όπως IPSec. Αν το δίκτυο, όπως το Starlink, περιορίζει ή μεταβάλλει αυτή την επικοινωνία, η υπηρεσία δεν ενεργοποιείται.

4. Πολιτική παρόχου

Δεν αποκλείεται η ίδια η Vodafone να περιορίζει τη λειτουργία του Wi-Fi Calling σε συγκεκριμένα δίκτυα. Τα δορυφορικά δίκτυα ενδέχεται να μην θεωρούνται πλήρως συμβατά για αυτή τη χρήση.

Το αποτέλεσμα στην πράξη

Για τον τελικό χρήστη, όλα αυτά μεταφράζονται σε ένα απλό μήνυμα:
“Αδυναμία σύνδεσης στο Wi-Fi Calling”.

Και δυστυχώς, δεν υπάρχει εύκολη λύση από την πλευρά του χρήστη.

Συμπέρασμα

Το Starlink είναι εξαιρετικό για internet σε δύσκολες περιοχές, αλλά δεν συνεργάζεται πάντα άψογα με υπηρεσίες που έχουν σχεδιαστεί για πιο παραδοσιακά δίκτυα.

Αν βασίζεσαι στο Wi-Fi Calling, καλό είναι να γνωρίζεις αυτόν τον περιορισμό πριν επενδύσεις πλήρως σε μια τέτοια λύση.

Προσωπική εμπειρία

Μετά από 25 χρόνια στη Vodafone, αναγκάστηκα να αλλάξω πάροχο και να πάω στην Cosmote εξαιτίας αυτού του προβλήματος. Με την Cosmote, το Wi-Fi Calling λειτουργεί κανονικά μέσω Starlink και πλέον λαμβάνω και SMS στο σπίτι μου, παρόλο που το χωριό και η περιοχή μου είναι ουσιαστικά νεκρά από όλα τα δίκτυα κινητής τηλεφωνίας.

Why Your Product Key Matters
Your Windows product key is a unique code that verifies your operating system is genuine. You might need it when:

Method: Using PowerShell
Follow these steps to quickly retrieve your product key:

1. Open PowerShell
   • Press the Start button
   • Type PowerShell
   • Right-click on Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator
     
     
2. Enter the Command
   Copy and paste the following command into the PowerShell window:
   (Get-WmiObject -query 'select * from SoftwareLicensingService').OA3xOriginalProductKey
   
   
3. View Your Product Key
   • Press Enter
   • If your system has an embedded key, it will appear instantly on the screen

Important Notes

• This method works best for systems that came with Windows pre-installed, where the key is stored in the BIOS or firmware.
• If nothing appears, your system may be using a digital license linked to your Microsoft account instead of a traditional product key.
  
  

Alternative Tip

If your key doesn’t show up, your Windows activation is likely tied to your hardware or Microsoft account. You can check activation status by going to:
Settings → System → Activation


Final Thoughts

This is one of the fastest and most reliable ways to retrieve a Windows 11 Home product key without using third-party tools. It’s always a good idea to store your key securely once you find it, just in case you need it later.

Send and receive email as [email protected], powered silently by Gmail, at zero cost.

You do not need to pay for Google Workspace or any hosted email service. With a domain you already own, a free Gmail account, and about fifteen minutes, you can receive email at your own domain address and send from it too, all from inside Gmail.

Step 1 - Set Up Email Forwarding on Namecheap (or on your domain provider).

Log in to your Namecheap account and go to Manage → Domains → Forward Email.

Here, you create the address your contacts will see. For example, if your domain is wildlife.com, you could create [email protected]. Then enter your Gmail address as the forwarding destination.

From this point on, any email sent to [email protected] will land automatically in your Gmail inbox.

Note
This step handles incoming mail only. The next step is to configure Gmail to send email from this address as well.

​Step 2 - Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Gmail

An App Password (required in step 3) only works if 2FA is active on your Google account.

Go to Google Account → Security & Sign-in → 2-Step Verification and turn it on. Any method works: authenticator app, SMS, or a hardware key.

Why this matters: 

Gmail's SMTP system will not accept your normal account password. It requires a dedicated App Password, which Google will only issue after 2FA is enabled.

Step 3 - Generate an App Password

Go directly to myaccount.google.com/apppasswords.

1. Type a name for this password, for example Gmail SMTP.
2. Click Create.
3. Google will show you a 16-character password. Copy it immediately and keep it somewhere safe.
   
   

Important: 
This 16-character code is shown only once. You will use it in the next step instead of your regular Gmail password. Your normal password and backup codes will not work for SMTP.

Step 4 - Add Your Domain Email as a Send-From Address in Gmail.

Open Gmail and go to Settings → Accounts & Import → Send mail as → Add another email address.​

Gmail will send a verification link to your domain address. Because you set up forwarding in Step 1, that email will arrive in your Gmail inbox. Press the link to confirm.

Once verified, go back to Accounts & Import → Send mail as and click Make default next to your domain address. Gmail will now use it for all outgoing mail by default.

Step 5 - Final Step: Add the SPF Record in Namecheap Advanced DNS

Go back to Namecheap and navigate to Manage → Advanced DNS. Scroll to the Mail Settings section and set the mail type to Email Forwarding.

Then add the following DNS record. This tells receiving mail servers that your domain is authorised to send email through Namecheap's forwarding service, which helps your messages avoid spam filters.

What this does

An SPF record authorises specific mail services to send on behalf of your domain. Without it, emails you send from your domain address are more likely to be flagged as spam or rejected by recipients. DNS changes can take a few minutes to a few hours to propagate fully.

That is it. You are done.

Contacts who email your professional email will reach you in Gmail. When you reply or compose new messages, the sender shows your domain address, not your personal Gmail. The SPF record ensures your emails are trusted and delivered cleanly. The whole setup costs nothing beyond what you already pay for your domain, and it takes only a few minutes to maintain.

After destroying my old laptop, specific some hardware and cables, finally got me the opportunity to buy a new one and not just repairing the old laptop again and again.

But buying a new very good laptop with a lot of memory, ssd, and other good features that I needed it, got also with windows 11. I wasn’t happy in the beginning, because it meant for me to install ubuntu. Because I loved ubuntu, and that’s for a 20-40 minute installing I had a great operating system ready for work and leisure. I didn’t want anything else, no drivers, no need to worry about viruses or broken features, or even blue screens.

I tried to install ubuntu, but failed again and again with every method…

Somehow (I don’t know why), every usb stick or externall hard drive when it had linux operating system ready or even burned iso files to install ubuntu they weren’t working on my new Dell Laptop. For a minute a thought passed to put my old hard drive with the ubuntu to this new laptop, but I didn’t want to destroy the guarantee and open the backside of the laptop.

It’s a new laptop and the prices have raised a lot, I didn’t want to try and destroy it even with an accident.

So before continue to change the hard drive, I decided to look what windows 11 have and if I can continue to use them.

With a surprise, I didn’t expect to be a total ready system working. No drivers needed to install, no other software for camera, screenshots, videoplayer, or anything else.

Everything was ready, like a linux operating system. And that is great. Even it has the store which makes it easy with one click to download apps.

But still worrying!

I am not sure windows have fixed all the errors of the past, like blue screens, destroyed updates, viruses security, and other that makes windows less safe than anything else operating system.

But why not give it a try? I surely will, but with the first fail of the system i will just return to linux (ubuntu) and the stability it gives me of having a safe and working computer.

Μη έχοντας για 10 ημέρες wifi-calling και μένοντας σε απομακρυσμένη περιοχή η οποία δεν καλύπτεται από καμία εταιρεία κινητής τηλεφωνίας, και έχοντας μιλήσει με πάνω από 10 τεχνικούς του ΟΤΕ του 13888 για να μου λύσουν το πρόβλημα είδα και απόειδα και το έφτιαξα μόνος μου.

Δεν είναι δυνατόν να μην ξέρουν πως να το φτιάξουν οι τεχνικοί του ΟΤΕ. Αλλά αυτό είναι άλλη ιστορία.

Τέλος πάντων επειδή έχω μπουχτήσει με αυτούς που δεν ξέρουν να κάνουν τόσο απλές δουλειές, σας βάζω εδώ την λύση για να το κάνετε μόνοι σας έτσι και σας προκύψει το πρόβλημα και εσάς χωρίς να έχετε πειράξει κάτι και να μην εξαρτάστε από εκπαίδευτους τεχνικούς που σαν λύση σας προτείνουν το reset ή την αλλαγή του wifi name.

Τα βήματα:

1. Ανοίγουμε τον browser μας και πατάμε 192.168.1.1 και συνδεόμαστε με τα στοιχεία που θα βρείτε σε αυτοκόλλητο κάτω από το ρούτερ σας.
   
   
2. Πατάμε στο εικονίδιο που λέει ΙΝΤΕΡΝΕΤ πάνω - πάνω.
   
   
3. Πατάμε αριστερά (αυτό που έχω σημειώσει με κόκκινο τετράγωνο) στο 3G/LTE WAN.
   
   
4. Βγάζουμε το check που έχει στο NAT Enable (το έχω σημειώσει με κόκκινο τετράγωνο στην μέση της εικόνας), και πατάμε Save.
   
   
5. Είμαστε έτοιμοι και μπορούμε να κάνουμε άμεσα ξανά wifi-calling κλήσεις από τα κινητά μας.

Finally an ad-blocker for Facebook which is working. It was so annoying every 2 posts to see ads (one "Sponsored" and one "For You") which i was spending a lot of time to block all those irrelevant ads. 

I don't like Ads and i don't care if they are relevant or not. I don't want any ad on my screen.

But i was one step before to stop using Facebook because of the ads, and i tried to find any ad-blocker that it will work.

After trying many ad-blockers, i was surprised when i found a small extension for chrome with bad reviews (probably fake) to work perfect.

And i am able again to start scrolling the Facebook feed without the annoying ads.

Perhaps there are more ad-blockers which i haven't tried them yet but here is the link if anyone wants to install the same ad-blocker for facebook:

💉Η πρώτη δόση έγινε στις 4 Μαΐου στις 08:40 το πρωί στο ΚΥ Βελεστίνου.

Οι παρενέργειες που είχα:

• Περίπου 1 ώρα μετά τον εμβολιασμό, άρχισε να πονάει το αριστερό μου χέρι (εμβολιάστηκα στο δεξί μπράτσο). Ήταν σαν να κρατούσα αρκετή ώρα ψηλά το χέρι και να είχε πιαστεί. Μπορούσα να το μετακινήσω. Ήταν από τις παρενέργειες που κράτησαν και πιο πολύ. Δηλαδή περίπου από τις 9:40 (στις 4 Μαΐου) μέχρι και περίπου στις 7:00 το πρωί (στις 5 Μαΐου).
  
  
• 4 ώρες αργότερα από τον εμβολιασμό άρχισε να πονάει και να το νιώθω πιασμένο όλο το δεξί μου χέρι.
  
  
• 10 ώρες μετά τον εμβολιασμό, στις 18:00 το απόγευμα με έπιασε η 2η μεγαλύτερη παρενέργεια, κούραση και να πονάνε όλα τα κόκαλα (από τους ώμους μέχρι και τις φτέρνες). Ο πόνος ήταν σαν να δούλευες όλη ημέρα στο κτήμα και μετά να επέστρεφες στο σπίτι να πέσεις ξερός για ύπνο, να μην αντέχεις να κάνεις τίποτα. Αυτή η παρενέργεια κράτησε 12 ώρες (μέχρι τις 6 το πρωί).
  
  
• Επίσης από τις 18:00 όλο το σώμα ήταν ζεστό σαν να είμαι ηλιοκαμένος.
  
  
• Μετά ήταν ο ύπνος, κοιμήθηκα στις 22:20 το βράδυ και ξύπνησα στις 3 το πρωί. Δεν μπορούσα με τίποτα να κοιμηθώ μετά, γαρίδα το μάτι ανοιχτό, και πλήρως ξεκούραστος. Λες και μου είχαν κάνει ένεση αδρεναλίνης. Και μιας και είμαι υπναράς θέλω το 9ώρο για να χορτάσω ύπνο, ήταν παράξενη παρενέργεια για εμένα.
  
  
• Το βράδυ περίπου στις 1:30 που είδα ρολόι, μέχρι και τις 3 που ξύπνησα, μια έσκαγα από την ζέστη και μία κρύωνα, και το κεφάλι μου μία ήταν ζεστό μία κρύο (πρέπει να είχα δέκατα). Από τις 1:30 μέχρι και τις 3 ξύπνησα 4 φορές (έτσι έδειξε το smart band που καταγράφει τον ύπνο).
  
  
• Και τελευταία παρενέργεια ήταν ο στεγνός λαιμός για περίπου 3,5 ώρες. Δηλαδή από τις 4 το πρωί μέχρι και τις 7:30 ο λαιμός μου στέγνωνε κατευθείαν ακόμα και όταν έπινα νερό. Αφ' ότου έπινα νερό 2-3 λεπτά μετά ένιωθα τον λαιμό μου σαν να μην είχα πει νερό όλη την ημέρα (σαν να ήταν βράδυ και να μην είχα πιει νερό από τα ξημερώματα)
  
  

Γενικά μπορεί να ακούγονται πολλές παρενέργειες και να τρομάξει κάποιος αλλά ήταν ήπιες (έτσι τις θεωρώ εγώ) και σίγουρα αξίζει και με το παραπάνω το εμβόλιο.

Αυτή την δημοσίευση την γράφω τώρα που έχουν περάσει 50 ώρες μετά τον εμβολιασμό, και δεν έχω κάτσει ούτε ένα λεπτό.

Από όταν τελείωσα τον εμβολιασμό μέχρι να φτάσει η ώρα 15:00 την ίδια ημέρα περπατούσα (έκανα 9 χλμ περπάτημα), και την επόμενη ημέρα από τις 8 το πρωί μέχρι τις 12:30 έκανα διάφορες δουλειές στον Βόλο που είχα και το ρολόι έγραψε 10.50 χλμ περπάτημα. 

Τώρα είμαι 100% καλά και συνεχίζω την ζωή μου πιο άνετα, βεβαίως ξέρω ότι πρέπει να προσέχω ακόμα για 2 εβδομάδες μέχρι και μετά την 2η δόση. 

Αλλά αν κάποιος σαν εμένα που έχει διάφορα προβλήματα υγείας, τότε είναι καλύτερα οι παρενέργειες του εμβολίου, παρά σίγουρα να καταλήξεις στο νοσοκομείο (ή και διασωληνωμένος) αν κολλήσεις κορωνοϊό.
